This explains what FenceReveal, run by Reveal Labs, collects and how we handle it. We keep it lean - we only collect what we need to run the tool.
1. What we collect
When you sign in and use FenceReveal, we handle:
- Account info from your Google sign-in: your name, email and a user ID.
- Photos you upload and the previews we generate from them. The yard photo, the placement guide you draw on it and the finished preview are kept privately against your account for up to 90 days so we can support you and fix problems, then deleted automatically. Product-reference photos saved under My fence styles are stored privately until you delete the style or your account.
- Private fence-style details: product names, materials, dimensions, finishes and the construction profile you confirm.
- Usage records: preview balance and a log of generation attempts (for billing and quality).
- Payment records: handled by Stripe. We see that a purchase happened and its amount - we never see or store your full card details.
2. How we use it
To sign you in, generate your previews, manage your preview balance and purchases, keep the tool working and secure, look into problems you report, and let us know (as the operator) when someone new signs up so we can gauge interest. We don't sell your data.
3. Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the service:
- Google Firebase - sign-in, database and private file storage (your account, usage records and stored photos).
- Google (Gemini API) - your uploaded yard and product-reference photos are sent here to analyse a private style or generate a preview.
- Stripe - processes payments.
- Resend - sends the operator a simple "new signup" notification.
- Google Analytics - anonymous usage analytics (which pages and features get used) so we can improve the tool.
Each processes data under their own terms. Some may store data outside Australia.
4. Where your previews live
The previews you generate are cached on your own device (in your browser) so you can see your recent work. Clearing your browser data or using another device means that on-device history won't follow you, so download anything you want to keep.
We also keep a private copy on our server for up to 90 days - the yard photo, the placement guide and the preview it produced, including any attempt our quality check rejected. That copy is what lets us work out what went wrong when you tell us a preview came out badly. It is never public, it is not used to train anything, and nobody reaches it except you and the operator. After 90 days it is deleted automatically. We keep the plain record that a generation happened (time, settings, outcome) for billing and quality, but that record holds no photos.
5. Keeping and deleting your data
You can archive or permanently delete a private fence style from Settings. Deleting your account permanently removes its private styles, its stored product photos and every stored yard photo, placement guide and preview. Some billing, fraud-prevention and generation audit records may be retained where required, and those hold no photos.
6. Cookies
We use what's needed to keep you signed in and the tool working, plus Google Analyticscookies that measure how the site is used (pages visited, features used) so we can improve it. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, and we don't sell your data. You can block cookies in your browser if you prefer - the tool still works.
